TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Deposit: The deposit is 100% refundable for a ten day grace period after payment is made. The deposit is not refundable after the grace period.

  • Payment: The final balance must be paid in full via EFT and processed 7 days prior to the event. Failure to provide payment in full prior to the event may constitute a breach of contract resulting in a default cancellation.

  • Rescheduling: In the event the Client reschedules the event, and the Performer is still available, the deposit will be transferable. The Performer reserves the right to amend the quote if the event has been moved to a peak date. If the Performer is not available on the rescheduled date, the deposit is not refundable and the Performer is not required to replace themselves with a substitute DJ.

  • Cancellations: The Performer will assume no liability, and offer no refund in the event that this function is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed due to a Force Majeure event, unforeseen occurrence, or any other event that renders this performance impossible. For purposes of this contract, a Force Majeure event includes, but is not limited to, fire, thunderstorm, flooding, national or local emergency, pandemic, act of terrorism or any other extreme emergency or circumstance under which it is illegal, impractical or unreasonable for the venue or us to hold the event, or where the Client choose to cancel the event due to similar circumstances. The Client must notify the Performer in writing of the cancellation as soon as possible. Where the Client cancels the booking within 30 days of the event date, 70% of the entire balance is payable to compensate the Performer for loss of income. Special exceptions can be made in extreme circumstances regarding refund of payments (such as a Force Majeure event), and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

  • Illness or injury: In the event the Performer is unable to perform due to illness, injury, or unexpected emergency, the Performer will replace themself with a capable and equivalent substitute and still honour the booking. In the unlikely event a replacement cannot be found, a full refund will be provided to the Client.

  • Performance: Unless otherwise arranged above, the DJ Package includes both monitored and dedicated DJ Sets over the course of the booking.

  • Sound Production: All sound equipment is included. For events of over 500 guests, a third party AV provider is required and sourced by the client. This may incur additional fees to cover an earlier bump in for sound check.

  • Meals: The Client agrees to provide a meal for the Performer for any catered event that operates for 4 hours or longer.

  • Equipment: The Performer’s property must not be operated or interfered with by any other individuals without the Performer’s explicit consent. The Performer reserves the right to bill the Client for any damage inflicted upon any equipment resulting from unauthorised Client or guest use. If the Performer feel that equipment is at reasonable risk, the Performer reserves the right to immediately revoke the use of equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, dangerous conduct by guests, persons entering the DJ booth without permission, unauthorised use of instruments and “dropping the mic” after speeches.

  • Power: The Performer requires standard household power from a reliable power source to be available within a reasonable distance of the performance area (up to 10 metres). The Performer, at their discretion, reserves the right to discontinue performance if the power provided is not capable of operating equipment without risk of damage. The Performer cannot be held responsible for any power outage. For the avoidance of doubt, the Performer does not provide a generator.

  • Protection from weather: The surface on which the Performer to play cannot be dirt, gravel, or any other unstable surface. If applicable (such as a marquee event), the Client agrees to furnish a facility that completely covers the Performer’s equipment from direct sunlight, wind and rain. If the Client or venue does not provide adequate cover or honour the Performer’s requests for an alternative indoor setup, and the Performer considers their equipment is at reasonable risk, the Performer reserve the right to deny services with no refund.

  • Accommodation: Accommodation is NOT required for in-town events. Unless otherwise negotiated, accommodation is required for events taking place 2 hours or more from the Canberra CBD.

  • Health & Safety: The Performer is not liable in any way for any injuries sustained by the Client or attendees. This includes, but is not limited to, slipping on the dance floor or injuring themselves on the Performer’s equipment. The Performer reserves the right to cease performance should any physical, verbal abuse or intimidating actions be made to the Performer.

  • Set up/pack down: The Performer requires a minimum of 60 minutes prior to the performance start time for setting up, and at least 60 minutes after the performance to pack down equipment. The Client will not be charged any additional fee for this time.

  • Acceptance of this agreement: These terms and conditions are deemed to be accepted by the Client upon payment of the deposit.

  • Quote Validity Period: Your quote is valid for 7 days only.
